Layering pearl necklaces starts with spacing. A shorter strand can frame the neckline while a longer strand creates a second line below it. You do not need to wear every strand at once: one, two or three can each create a different arrangement.
Start with the neckline you are wearing
Lay the necklaces beside your top before putting them on. An open collar gives several strands room to sit against the skin; a plain knit can provide a background for a longer strand. If the neckline is already detailed, try fewer layers and compare the result.
These are styling starting points rather than fixed rules. The same strand length will sit differently depending on your neck, body and clothing.
Compare lengths before ordering
Measure a necklace you already own and note where it sits. When comparing product measurements, check whether the stated length includes the clasp and whether an extender is included. Avoid judging fit from a close-up product photograph alone.
As a real example, Interlude includes three strands measuring 38, 40 and 50 cm including clasps. The shorter two sit closer together, while the longer strand gives another line below them. Their position on you will depend on your own fit.
Give one detail the lead
Choose whether you want the pearls, a pendant or a decorative clasp to be the focus. Then try the remaining strands around that detail. If two elements compete, remove one strand and look again. A little open space can make the arrangement easier to see.
Use convertible features as described
Interlude's three strands can be worn separately or connected. It includes the strands and connector clasps, with pearls and S925 sterling silver components alongside copper wire-wrapped connector clasps. Those details apply to this design; they should not be assumed for every necklace in the collection.
Follow the product's intended connection method. If you are unsure how a detachable piece works, contact us before pulling, bending or forcing a fitting.
Finish with practical checks
Before wearing the arrangement, check that the clasps are secure and the strands fall as you want them to. Keep the pieces dry and follow the care guide for storage and handling.
